From the moment we arrived we felt like we were taken care of in the best possible way. We arrived early so we had to leave our luggage and wait for our room to be ready, which was no problem at all, we then sat down in the lounge for a drink, and the waiter was the nicest - we felt so at home right a way! When we got our room it exceeded our expectations with great views, a huge comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Loved it! We also got a bottle of Cava on the house because me and my boyfriend were celebrating our 3 years anniversary! Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer, can't wait to come back and try the spa and the gym. Tip! Forget about expensive hotels in Amsterdam, go to Hotel des Indes instead!

All of our expectations were exceeded! We even received a free room upgrade! We opted for the buffet breakfast for one morning of our stay and ended up having it each morning! The service was wonderful, staff was great and the room was gorgeous! We didn't end up using the pool but I wish I had! The whole hotel is gorgeous and the history of it is definitely worth learning about. Location is perfect for walking everywhere! We did use Uber to get to Madurodam and Scheveningen but there are trams everywhere and so easy to use! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful building with a history - some of the previous guests include Eisenhower, Nicholas II and Theodore Roosevelt! If you are looking for an "good old days" experience this hotel should definitely be your choice. Breakfasts are quite decent with both a la carte and buffet options, cocktails in lounge were also nice - lounge works until midnight, which is a nice bonus for night owls. City center starts right around the corner and walking to Den Haag Central took us no more than 15 mins. Recommended!

This old school place has a sense of history but it still offered all the modern luxuries. The staff was absolutely great and they went the extra mile to make us happy. The facilities of the spa were also excellent. They reserve the facilities so there is never too many people. The massage was wonderful and breakfast was good as well. Finally, the rooms were large and the bathrooms very comfortable. All in all a fabulous stay in the heart of Den Haag during the holiday season.

Very old-school style. Beautiful. Incredibly comfortable bed. But mostly the service was impeccable. I got quite sick during my stay and overnight it worsened. We were allowed to check out later without additional fee. We also had forgotten our iPhone chargers which we were provided with by the hotel to use. The concierge Gert-Jan is fantastic.
